The Beliefs of Our Full Gospel Church
GOSPEL MISSION TEMPLE in Davenport, IA is a multicultural religious community led by Bishop Dr. Jimmie R. Horton through the guidance of God. Our full gospel church preaches the fivefold ministry and “whosoever will” doctrine through Christ-like instructional teachings to our local area and all over the world.
The Fivefold Ministry
We believe that each and every one of us has a special role in our lives under the service of Christ. This is why we emphasize the fivefold ministry in our teachings. The different roles and their descriptions are as follows:
- Apostle – To Awaken God’s Given Potential
- Prophet – To Reveal God’s Heart
- Evangelist – To Spread God’s Word
- Pastor – To Guide People to God
- Teacher – To Make God’s Truth Accessible
